Games consist of four 4-minute quarters, with 2 minute breaks between each quarter, for quick, fun and challenging play.

The RPL will involve 30 marquee overseas players from established rugby playing countries and 30 Indian players who were chosen from a pool of 71 at the Auction. One of the national players is Mohit Khatri, the captain of the national rugby team, purchased for ₹4.5 lakh, proving the league’s emphasis on developing regional talent.
